MY FITNESS STORY

I fell in love with exercise during high school sports. My competitive nature drove me to push myself as hard as I could to make varsity, despite season ending injuries. That competitive spirit continued during college as I played Intermural Sports for my fraternity. My passion for self-improvement and unlocking my body's full potential encouraged me to change my field of study and learn more about how the body performs at its best.

My Life

I live with my girlfriend of 6 years in Hazel Park, MI. We have 2 cats, Jesse and Loki. We met during college at Western Michigan University. In college, I served as standards board chairman of the executive board and am proudly a founding father of what is now the largest fraternity on WMU's campus, Sigma Tau Gamma.

MY PHILOSOPHY

 What Fitness Means to me—

Like Benton, I agree that fitness is the most essential part of life that is neglected the most. Human bodies were designed for work and adapt to the resistance we provide it with. Whether that resistance be weight on the squat rack, another mile added on your run, or mental stressors, your body is programmed to get better at anything it does over time. Taking care of your physical and mental health is the foundation of a successful and fulfilling life. Structured exercise training is the best way to establish good habits of encouraging your body to adapt and overcome obstacles on your path, mental or physical.
